Grouup Class Rules and Regulations:

Dogs must be kept apart at all times. Please be aware of the other dogs coming to class and keep your dog on a short leash. Do not allow your dog to run up to other dogs in the class. Some dogs value their personal space and may react aggressively to another dog in their face. We will conduct meet and greets while in group class under the supervision of a trainer.

Do bring lots of treats to class. Now this may shock you, here are examples of the best treats to use: Hotdogs, Chicken, Cheese, Left overs, any thing that your dog highly values. However, the treats need to be "PEA" size. No matter the size of the dog. Bring a variety of treats so your dog has no idea what he is going to get. If you have treats left over after class simply pop the bag in the freezer until your next training session. Only give treats when your dog does something you have asked. He must earn all treats from now on. If you wish to reward him for being cute, use dog biscuits or dental chews. Do not give training treats for free.

If you have a very energetic dog, please exercise him 1/2 hour prior to class. In order to change his energy level you need to raise his heart rate. Getting a bucket of tennis balls and throwing them for your dog is a great way to get your dog moving. Don't worry if he doesn't bring them back. After training you get your exercise by putting all of the balls back in the bucket.

If your dog is sick do not bring them to class. Your dog will not be learning if he is ill. Allow him to rest at home until he feels better. In addition if your dog is in heat, bring her in sanitary pants.
Please call if you are unable to attend class. Leave a voicemail on either phone number if you cannot make it to class. We don't want to wait for you if you are not coming.

Do not feed your dog prior to coming to group class. A hungry dog is going to be more interested in listening to you despite all of the distractions.

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing. We conduct classes on the grass and it is imperative that you wear comfortable shoes.

Lastly, Please be on time! It is very frustrating when you arrive after class has started and it disrupts all the other dogs learning.
Remember keep the training positive and fun!!
